Ryzom Returns?
I believe the phoenix has finally risen from the ashes. The Ryzom main page says “Ryzom will be back soon!” in English, French, and German. Always good to see a game reborn, espeicially Ryzom
.
Soul Eater Episodes 12-14
Not many sites have these episodes up for download…saddens me very much. When I get home from work today I’ll upload the MP4 Versions (wish they were some other format….but at least these are good quality). I’ll update this post when I have them uploaded to Cireus-Anime. Until then you’re SOL
.
EDIT: All three episodes are uploaded.
The Skull Man
WOW. Talk about plot twists. This adaptation (yes…it’s an adaptation
) was amazing. Plot twists, action, violence, romance, tragedy demon-ish things, artifacts, religions, corrupt government officials, hell this anime has it all. This is most definitely going on my list of favorite anime. Unfortunately, it only has 13 episodes which makes for a quick watch, at least for me. Despite the shortness of the anime, it does not have an unsatisfactory ending like many of the shorter anime do. Overall, I believe this is a must to watch for any anime fan that can take a bit of blood and violence.
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Christo
An interesting anime to say the least. A very abstractly drawn anime compared to the ones normally made in this day and age. It was released in 2003.
Trying to escape his uneventful life, Albert, the son of a renowned general from Paris, makes a journey with his friend Franz. During his travels, he meets an immensely wealthy nobleman named The Count of Monte Cristo. Living in luxurious hotels, surrounded by beautiful women and strong bodyguards, the charming but enigmatic count fascinates Albert. Albert invites the count to join the high society of Paris. However, unknown to Albert, his father had once framed the count and took the count’s fiancee as his own.
The storyline is slightly similar to the Count of Monte Christo, but that’s about it. The story is set in Paris for the most part (I’m only halfway though the series of 24 episodes) though the first episode takes place on Luna (aka the moon). It is a space age story with the same class problems from the 1800s. Many twists in the plot.
EDIT: Alrighty, I finished the series while “working” *cough*. Awesome anime, though slightly predictable if you know the actual tale of The Count of Monte Christo. For once, it’s an anime that has a satisfactory, well thought out ending. Props to them.
Code Geass R2: Episode 14
“A little less drama, a little more action.” That’s exactly how this episode was compared to episode 13. However, the betrayals (Rolo and Lelou) are revealed to VV and there’s a bunch of fighting and explosions.
